The Department of Computer Applications at Grace Valley College of Arts and Science was established in 2013 with an intake of 48 students with the launch of the Bachelor Programme in Computer Application (BCA). In line with the basic academic philosophy of Grace Valley, the Department follows the rigorous transformations which sweep across the discipline and keep the students updated and upskilled to meet the emerging frontiers. With a curriculum that combines application and theory in a judicious blend, the Department prepares the learners to be capable of applying what they have learned or what they believe that they have learned. The foundation we lay, exposing them to various areas of computer application, enables them to build careers which are rewarding and challenging. The activities at the department keeps pace with the industry through expert interactions, institution visits, internships, and student exchange programmes

At present 3 well qualified and dedicated faculties are working in the department. Currently eight batches passed out. It has several Alumni who decorates many apex positions in the academic and non-academic posts in the various institutions and organizations various esteemed IT Firms also. Plenty of activities like Tech Fest, Innovation event, Seminars, Workshops, Idea Fest, Debates, Community Extension Programmes, Quizzes, Hackathon, Inter collegiate tech events and inter department events etc are being carried out every academic year.
